Immigration Emergencies
Examples of immigration emergencies include issues at a U.S. Port of Entry and immediate threats of deportation from the U.S.
- During business hours (8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday), call the ISS Office at (651) 641-8883.
- If ISS is closed, call the after-hours line at (651) 895-4834. Leave a message if no answer, and someone will return your call as quickly as possible.
Non-Emergency Immigration Issues

I need a travel signature | 1. Submit an I-20 Request. 2. Email your immigration advisor and let them know when your return flight to the U.S. leaves. 3. Your immigration advisor will process your request when the ISS office reopens. |
I lost my I-20 | 1. Submit an I-20 Request. 2. Email your immigration advisor with additional details. 3. Your immigration advisor will process your request when the ISS office reopens. |
My passport is lost or stolen | 1. If you are in the U.S., contact your embassy to apply for a replacement. Some embassies may require a police report in case of a stolen passport. 2. Email your immigration advisor with additional details and/or to request a meeting. |
I have a question about my CSP-provided health insurance | Please visit our health insurance page for further information. |
I have a question about employment (CPT, OPT, STEM), academics, travel, etc. | Email your immigration advisor and/or your academic advisor. They will respond when the ISS Office reopens. |
