STEM OPT Extension

**ATTENTION**
Blackboard will be discontinued on September 3, 2024. If you have had courseswork through Blackboard, please go in and download your syllabi and take screenshots of class descriptions, attendance, grades etc. The information will no longer be available to you after September 3rd. In case of an audit through USCIS, you might be asked to provide this information, so please be sure that you have that information saved for your records.



Optional Practical Training (OPT) is an off-campus training benefit available to F-1 students after program completion. Students in eligible STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) programs can apply for a 24-month OPT extension.
